National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT)

The National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT) helps local authorities access the resources they need to deliver their projects, including technical and financial expertise, partnerships and funding schemes.

Acting under the authority of the departmental Prefect, the ANCT helps create favourable conditions for business establishment by mobilising technical and financial support, financing instruments and territorial partnerships.

Thanks to its in-depth knowledge of local territories, the ANCT helps identify sites suited to project needs, taking into account local specificities and development priorities. It also coordinates place-based national programmes (such as Territoires d’Industrie, Action Cœur de Ville, Petites Villes de Demain and France Services), which enhance the attractiveness, accessibility and hosting capacity of territories for investors.
