According to the latest consolidated data, for 2023, foreign-owned companies play a structural role in the French economy:
- 19,600 companies operating in France, representing less than 1% of establishments in France.
- More than 13% of employment in France.
- 38% of industrial employment.
- 63% of them carried out physical investment in France between 2014 and 2024.
- 56% are exporters.
